ABOUT US
The Metropolitan Alliance of Communication Students (formerly known as the Metro Manila Alliance of Communication Students) is an alliance of students that aspires to create a unified body in advocating and promoting media education as a means of developing the self, region, and nation. The alliance serves as an avenue for students to collaboratively initiate and organize activities and events; promote interaction, media literacy, and social awareness; and establish stronger ties among the different colleges in the metro.
HISTORY
Its first ever meeting was at Phil Star Room 2, College of Mass Communication, UP Diliman, May 5, 2010 with the attendance of 14 schools. But its official launch was last September 24, 2010 at the TV Studio, Media Center, College of Mass Communication, UP Diliman with 8 schools namely:

Far Eastern University - Manila
La Consolacion College - Manila
Philippines Women's University
Polytechnic University of the Philippines
University of the Philippines - Diliman
University of the Philippines - Manila
University of Santo Tomas
pledging to be a part of the alliance.
On its starting year, the alliance organized a metro-wide convention held in Civil Law Auditorium, University of Santo Tomas, November 20, 2010 and a year-ender thanksgiving party held at Attica Bar and Lounge last February 19, 2010.
Its constitution was drafted April 2011 and ratified 29 August of the same year.

The FOUNDER
Sherwin Su is an Analyst of Kinetic Social residing in Greater New York City Area. He studied Bachelor of Arts Major in Broadcast Communication in University of the Philippines, standing Magna Cum Laude. After college, he went to Harvard University to take a Program Course: International Marketing and Electronic Commerce Strategies. He attended Emerson College in the same year and took Bachelor of Science in Marketing Communication. Harry Ross Scholarship (Awarded to a student in the Department of Communications based on high academic standing and merit) was given to him during his stay and graduated as the class Valedictorian. He is now involved in Campaign Management, Marketing Communication, Strategy and Analytics, Product Marketing and Business Development & Sales.
